Garden of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Garden of Stars is a place where honor is given to some of the celebrities/personalities locally and international. It's also a place where you can just wander off in tranquility.

Finding our way to Garden of Stars
We initially wanted to check out the Avenue of Stars, since this is the more famous landmark. So we took the journey to get there. Unfortunately, our 25-minute worth of walking was put into "waste" when we found out that the Avenue of Stars was being renovated. We were already feeling all tired especially with the heat of the sun being at its peak. However, since we wanted to maximize the day, we all decided to backtrack and visit Garden of Stars instead. This took us another set of 20 minutes to reach the park.

All the long walk was worth all the energy and sweat when we got a glance of the waters from viewing deck just before reaching the Garden of Stars. We rested for about 10 minutes just to feel the breeze and admire the tranquility of the sea.

Statues and memorabilia
Aside from the garden itself, you will find a couple of statues and memorabilia within the area, which all make a good backdrop for snapping photos. You'll also see other locals and tourists taking a breather.

I found it interesting how people still take the time to slow down despite the fast-paced culture of Hong Kong.

Unleashing creativity in Garden of Stars
Being Filipino, there's always a way for creativity to unleash itself in whatever circumstance, and in this case, it happened when we felt all inspired to "be one with the statues".

It needed some form of internalization for us to feel like stars, and fit the scenes. Trust me, we tried all the best we can.

Amusingly, we recreated some of the scenes by imitating the statues.

Moment of tranquility
There were a few who visit the place for the purpose of slowing down or to appreciate the tranquility in the area. This tranquility however can help you channel emotions to mix with your creativity. After all, it's also about enjoying when you travel.

A beautiful sunset
You can also experience nature's work of art by watching the sunset. In our case, we just got to witness pre-sunset in Garden of Stars, since we needed to walk to the Clock Tower for our scheduled Watertours Harbour Cruise (read more).
